Wide awake staring

Wide Awake Staring, offsets photographed space against physical object. It reflects Lakmaier's experiences of the blurring between works of art, architecture and banal objects in the gallery space while invigilating exhibitions. Looking again and again at the same objects and beginning to see new structures and relationships between objects in the gallery. This has fed back into her practice and has influenced this piece.
